Biography
Pablo was born in 1977 in Montecchio Maggiore and currently resides in Bassano del Grappa.
Pace trained at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Sociology in Trento. As a contemporary portrait painter, he develops his painting through a national and international path: Spain, the United States, Germany, Chile, France, England, and Italy host his works.
He has participated in international group exhibitions and art fairs such as Art Verona, Scope New York, Blooom Art Fair Cologne, and Parallax Art Fair London. In 2008, he joined the artistic collective INFART in Bassano Del Grappa as artistic director and collaborates with Italian curators and art galleries. In 2017, he became part of the prestigious The Bank Contemporary Art Collection, now Fondazione The Bank.
Described as "the optimistic portraitist" in "Excellent Painters – The Diary of Italian Living Painting" (C. Langone), Pace focuses his artistic research on revisiting the classic theme of portraiture, deeply exploring the relationship between person and landscape, between subject and territory, with an apparently "hyperrealist" vein that conceals messages of profound aesthetic sensitivity.
Regarded as one of the most important exponents of the new artistic movement "Magic Realism," Manuel Pablo Pace dedicates his work to the synthesis of traditional painting and modern visuality. This is particularly evident in his current series of works, where narrative, storytelling, and vision intersect, emphasizing illumination. From a purely technical standpoint, this translates into the absence of chiaroscuro and the all-light vision of the depicted subjects and landscapes.
